Designed to be versatile and
adaptable, the Vision Switch provides a complete 16x16 video crosspoint switch
within a single PCI plug-in card. Larger switch sizes are also possible by
adding a second Vision Switch card to produce either a 32x16 or 16 x 32 switch.
Vision Switch is supplied with driver software for Windows®
NT/2000. A simple and intuitive Windows application program is provided
enabling users to control the crosspoint switch or, for users who wish to
control Vision Switch from their own software, a Software Development Kit (SDK)
is also provided.
Vision Switch may also be used with our Horizon4VW
range of multi-screen graphics adapters. In this configuration
Vision Switch is connected to the Horizon via inter-card ribbon cables,
enabling the Horizon video overlay’s to select 1 of 16 possible video
sources. A single Vision Switch card will support up to four Horizon4VW
graphics adapters
- A single slot 32 bit PCI card (PCI slave)
- 16 analog inputs, 16 analog outputs.
- Direct connection to the Horizon4VW-Pro. or Stand-alone
- Expansion headers for multiple card installation.
- Support for Windows®NT Windows®2000 & XP
- Software Development Kit included for custom applications.

| Vision Switch is supplied with two
multi-way splitter cables for connecting video inputs and outputs. Each
cable comprises of a 26way D plug connected to a to 16 BNC sockets via
individual co-ax cables. (Cable length is 600mm)

The following connections are available on the Vision Switch:
- 2 x 26 way high density D sockets on the rear panel for
the Input and Output cables.
- 4 on card 20 way ribbon headers enabling the connection
of upto 4 Horizon Cards.
- 1 on card 20 way ribbon header for interfacing with the
Vision TV.
- 2 on card 20 way ribbon headers for connection to a
second Vision Switch Card.

The Vision Switch is available in two
models:
- Vision Switch-H. Used in conjunction
with the Horizon 4VW-PRO and Horizon 4VW-DIG Cards.
- Vision Switch-SA. Used as a stand
alone general purpose video switch.
When
Vision Switch is used with the Horizon4VW graphics adapter then the following

The Horizon driver software detects the
presence of the Vision Switch and automatically controls the video switch,
expanding the input capabilities for each video overlay from 4 inputs, as
standard, to 16 or 32 by using either 1 or 2 Vision Switch cards.
